I am so proud of my student!!! What a great news!

Dear Horris,

I would like to share with you the recent encouraging mathematical performance of XXX.

(i) XXX attended the Senior Mathematical Challenge (SMC) on 8 Nov 2007 (65,000 participants). He was one of the 1,000 top achievers entering into the British Mathematical Olympiad Round_1 held on 20 Nov 2007 . He finished the Round_1 event being 35th in the country.

(ii) The first 50 top achievers qualified for the Round_2 event in January 2008. XXX did very well in Round_2 and, being one of the top 20 students, he was invited to attend the Maths Training Camp held at Trinity College , University of Cambridge , in 3-7 April 2008. Among the 20 students, there were only three students from fifth form and XXX was one of them. However, it is a pity that XXX was not able to enter the UK Team for the International Mathematical Olympiad event in summer 2008.

XXX will be back to HK in late June. He would like to seek your coaching in Olympiad Maths in the July-August. I shall call you in early July.

            With my best wishes,

YYY
